Dow Corning has been awarded the Preferred Supplier status in the “Elastomers and Thermosetting Plastics” materials group by Bosch
This Preferred Supplier status is assigned once a year by Stuttgart-based Bosch, a leading global supplier of technology and services, to the best of its 4,000 suppliers. It enables Dow Corning to be integrated even earlier in Bosch’s product development process.
This award honors Bosch suppliers that provide an invariably strong and integral service offering on a long-term basis, in accordance with Bosch’s supplier strategy. “Dow Corning’s performance in the fields of quality, innovation and strategic collaboration made this award possible,” said Simge Erkmen, Bosch Buyer for Bosch GmbH’s Automotive Business.
In Bosch’s recent annual performance assessment, Dow Corning scored top marks in the categories of purchasing, quality, logistics, cooperation and technical competence.
“Being awarded this status by Bosch is a huge achievement since they have very high standards and expectations for their suppliers,” says Klaus Hoffmann, Dow Corning Regional President for the European Union. “We have been working with Bosch for many years and this award is a great recognition and motivation for the entire Dow Corning team. We are now looking to further develop new and more effective products and technologies in a joint effort with Bosch.”
